laurie didn't even notice her girlfriends date because she was so shy and was with another guy at the time, but bill noticed laurie and asked his date who laurie was and her last name.

a month later he called her up on the telephone and asked for a date together and she said, sure... even though she didn't remember him other than having dated a girl she worked with and that they had met on the previous double date...  she was curious as he sounded nice.

well, he came to the door to pick her up to go to the movies and she couldn't believe how handsome he was! he was very tan and had very light blonde hair and had the most delightful smile she had ever seen. he was dressed in western shirt, jeans and western boots and her heart skipped at least two or three beats when she had opened the door to let him inside.

it truly was love at first sight.

they went to the movies and then for pizza afterwards. they ended up back at her parents house and talked quietly in the kitchen until 5 a.m. they didn't want to say good-nite and he was going off to college in a few weeks he told her. they didn't see each other for two months after that first date, but they did talk on the phone a lot. when they did have their second date, it definately sealed the bond they first felt with each other that first night.

after just two dates, these two were engaged! they decided on a wedding two years in the future as they wanted to save money and buy a house right away and to furnish that house as well.  the two years went by quickly and they just grew deeper and deeper in love as they shared time together planning and preparing for their future as husband and wife.
